I am honored to present Kelly Weaver’s “real life” work-at-home experience as our featured guest post. Kelly is a very talented Artist and Designer, who describes her newest creative endeavor below. Kelly is not a mom, but work-at-home ideas have become popular for so many people in general right now.
I have an announcement that I have been looking forward to sharing with you. I now have a Redbubble page! All the designs on my page are NEW that I created this year specifically to sell on Redbubble. My designs come directly from the beauty of nature—the organic silhouetted shapes of trees, plants, flowers, and leaves. Each design on Redbubble began with photography that I captured during 2022 of the Lehigh Valley environment. I then edited that photography to create my designs. Each design is on 56-64 different products, with products ranging from apparel to accessories to home decor. For people who are unfamiliar with Redbubble... Redbubble is a print-on-demand online marketplace. Creators like me make designs for a range of products. Customers shop, order items, and items are manufactured specifically to fulfill each order. Redbubble is socially responsible with sustainable practices and products produced ethically. If you have a chance, check out my page. I recommend clicking "Explore designs," and then clicking "Shop all products" under the design that interests you. This will show you all the products available with each design. Comparatively, the initial view under "Shop products" shows very little of the many products available, and choosing a category on the left also doesn't initially show everything available for that category until getting very specific. Page Link: www.redbubble.com/people/klweaver3/shop?asc=u I'd love to get your feedback, and any shares would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. In this photo below, I am wearing this Sleeveless Top: www.redbubble.com/i/top/Japanese-Maple-Tree-Leaf-Stripes-Black-and-White-Color-by-klweaver3/116560946.6AQD3 And carrying this Tote Bag: www.redbubble.com/i/tote-bag/Japanese-Maple-Tree-Leaf-Stripes-Black-and-White-Color-by-klweaver3/116560946.A9G4R This design is available in 5 other colors.

Other days I may have an hour or two dedicated to work. You can choose to work as little or as much as you want. I especially enjoy the fact that I can work in the evening or early in the morning. You may be able to tolerate such kind of life at first, but as you go along and as you mature, you will realize the importance of good organizational tips and how you can benefit from living an organized life. You must learn how to manage the situation. Here are some things that you can do to start moving along towards the organized route in life.
1. Look at your surroundings. What are the things that make your home appear cluttered? For sure, these are the elements that you will want to take a close look at during this process. You cannot merely throw away things that look out of place. You never know when you will need these things, so what you can do at this point is to designate an appropriate area for everything that you own. To make the task a success, you have to help yourself remember where you place these things. You can create a list for this purpose. You can also start creating labels/tags to help you remember what kinds of things you have placed at certain locations within your house. 2. Do not expect too much to happen too soon. Do not put pressure on yourself, especially because you are only beginning the process of organizing everything that you own. There are times when you will feel like going back to your old habits. Whenever this time occurs, just weigh in the benefits that you can get by becoming more organized, plus the unnecessary stress that you have avoided after you have made the conscious effort to place things at their designated spots. 3. Create an easy-to-follow routine and to-do tasks. This way, you won't forget anything important and this will also help you become more focused about all elements around you. For example, what do you have to get done for the week? Do you have to do the laundry, buy groceries or chat with a distant family member on the phone? Create a schedule so that you can accommodate all these and more tasks even if needed at certain times. The long term effects of following organizational tips are vital to how you will live your life in the future. You have to practice this while you are still young so that you can integrate the values that you have learned from it, when it is time to lead an independent life, wherein you are on your own when it comes to tasks and making sure that everything is in place and easy to locate. If you have a busy family that seems to be traveling in different directions constantly, you know how challenging it can be to coordinate everyone’s schedules. Between projects and deadlines at the office, meetings with your children’s teachers, after school activities like soccer practice and troop meetings, not to mention the household chores, it can be a confusing task.
But if each family member is committed and communicates effectively, the task of creating a combined family schedule is a manageable one for you. The first step is to commit to weekly family meetings. Make it essential that each family member is there so that the schedule can be discussed and organized. This should also double as a great opportunity to schedule quality family time together, so make sure it’s held at a time when everyone is able to attend. Next, design a schedule that can be easily accessed by all family members, so that everyone knows where everyone else should be at any given time. This can be done by designing one yourself using materials such as poster board, markers, pushpins and index cards that can be pinned to the schedule, allowing for changes that can occur from week to week. It could also be designed on your family computer and saved onto the desktop, so each family member can readily access it and make changes if necessary. Have family members get into the habit of indicating on the schedule specific addresses or contact telephone numbers if the activity is new or changes from week to week. Be sure that care providers for your children such as grandparents and babysitters are familiar with your scheduling system and know how to use it. Again, with a commitment from each family member and open lines of communication, the family schedule can be a useful tool for everyone. Are you an individual who just feels as if you can never catch up? Do you feel like you can’t get everything that you need to do done? If so, it is important that you take steps to correct the problem. Poor time management is often associated with the workplace, but did you know that your personal life can be negatively impacted as well? It can be.
As for how poor time management can have a negative impact on your personal life, you may be surprised just what it can do. For example, if you have a poor sense of time you may find that your relationship with your spouse, family, or friends may suffer. Those who have a poor sense of time are often stressed, frustrated, and unorganized. This is likely to put a significant strain on otherwise healthy relationships. Despite the fact that time management can have a negative impact on your personal life, there is good news. That good news is that there are ways that you can prevent your poor use of time from becoming too much of a problem. The biggest way to prevent this from happening involves learning how to make better use of your time. To help you get started, a number of personal time management tips are outlined below. An easy way to learn how to make better use of your time involves creating and relying on to do lists. If you have everyday tasks that have become a part of your routine, like getting your kids ready for school or going to work, you do not necessarily have to include these items on your list. With that said, other non-daily tasks should be added. These tasks may include running an errand before work, attending a child’s sporting event, helping your child with an important school project, going for a medical appointment, and so forth. Learning how to prioritize is another important component of being able to properly manage your time. It is important to remember that the day and its time is limited. If you have a family and a fulltime job, you may find it difficult or downright impossible to get everything done. If that is the case, be sure to prioritize. You can leave the lesser important tasks, such as dusting your house as opposed to doing laundry for later or the following day. The use of time management tools is another easy way that you can go about making better use of your time. There are a number of tools that you can use to your advantage. A to do list was sited as an example above. Other tools that you may be able to benefit from the use of include alarm clocks and daily or weekly planners. There are also wonderful time managements apps. Since most time management tools are affordable, already in your home, or free to create, you should use them to your advantage. One of the many reasons why people end up wasting time is because they are easily distracted. If you feel this the main source of your time management problem, you will want to determine what your biggest distractions are. For example, do you spend too much time socializing with coworkers after work or with the neighbors? If so, you don’t have to completely eliminate this contact, but try to limit it. The same can be said with television and internet use. There are a variety of home-based job opportunities that may help you make money online. Online surveys are popular among work-at-home opportunities that can help you earn some extra money.
Market research is essential for improving and maintaining business. Companies may use online surveys for product development and customer satisfaction. Survey results may help provide marketing feedback and comparison with competitor’s products or services. Companies value unbiased and reliable opinions about their products or services. They are ready to pay money for this purpose. Reputable online survey sites can be ideal for earning some extra money working-at-home for people that want to choose the best hours to work during the week according to their individual lifestyle and other responsibilities. Online survey sites may be good for work-at-home moms who want to earn an income without compromising the time spent with their family. Since it is an online program, you can usually do the work from anywhere with secure internet availability. Another advantage of completing online surveys working-at-home is the fact that the work routinely does not require any special experience or specific qualifications. There are numerous companies that may offer you an opportunity to make money by working at home doing online surveys. There are some other companies that may offer you gift cards instead of paying money. Therefore, you must be careful about researching the exact offerings of specific online survey sites. Below, I will give you a quick description and link for two survey companies that I joined within the last few years. I am personally happy with both of them.
*Please note: (I may be compensated at no additional cost to the customer for my referral links or affiliate programs.) I do participate in a few nice referral programs that I really enjoy. Chaos and a hectic pace seem to be par for the course for most workdays, and it can turn your workday upside down if you let it. However, with some careful planning, efficient scheduling and well-developed work habits, your workday can smoothly sail along.
Planning your workday actually starts the previous evening. Take a few moments before you leave work to jot down important meetings, phone calls that need to be made or returned, ideas or concerns that need to be discussed with your supervisors or co-workers, or other notes to yourself about projects you’re working on or clients you’re currently working with. That way, it’ll be right there for you to see the next morning, and it’ll make getting into the swing of things much easier. You should stay on top of your both your desktop and electronic inboxes. Check e-mail when you arrive, and immediately sort each message into an appropriate folder. Even if you don't have time to deal with the contents of a message or even read it fully, sort it for later action. Sort through and organize regular mail and correspondence as well, and organize into piles for later action if necessary. Make sure you come back to these at the end of the day and take any appropriate action or you can at that time. Try to make it a habit of responding promptly to all mail requesting a timely response. Check through these inboxes during the course of the workday as well. Return or make your most urgent and important phone calls early in the day. Like you, most people are more likely to be at their desks during this time. Get in tune with your personal energy level and schedule. If you have more energy at the beginning of the day, tackle your toughest projects then. If your energy level dips after lunch, take care of filing, e-mailing or other general tasks at this time. At the end of the day, return to your checklist and prepare for tomorrow. Review your checklist and cross off completed items. Move any pending items to tomorrow’s to-do list. Utilize both an electronic and wall or desk calendar to keep track of deadlines, meetings, and appointments. If your day allows, try to work on those long-term projects a bit so that as their deadlines approach you won’t feel so pressured or rushed. Most importantly, take a break. Don’t get into the habit of having your lunch at your desk or cutting your breaks short. A walk during your break and time away from your desk to recharge are probably the most important things you can do for yourself to recharge, clear your mind and prepare to tackle the tasks at hand more efficiently. There are a variety of self improvement articles available nowadays. You may be thinking that this is one of those, obviously. What have you got to lose by reading one more self improvement article?
Here are ten shifts in perspective that may possibly help you move your life to the next level. Hopefully, this self improvement article may assist you in creating the life you really want. 1. Give yourself permission to dream. You probably had no problem dreaming as a kid. What happened to your ability to imagine and dream about what you want and who you want to be? When was the last time you caught yourself daydreaming and appreciated it? 2. Stop looking outside yourself for happiness. Increase your self-awareness. Get curious about who you are at the core. Cultivate and nurture a relationship with yourself. 3. Cover the basics. Take the time to address your personal needs. How can you focus on thriving in your life if you are in survival mode? 4. Embrace your past and move on. Shift from “why it happened” to what I want to do about it now. Asking “why” is not a very empowering question. Asking what or how I want to proceed can be much more powerful and produce forward movement. 5. Remember that you are not alone. It is easy to feel overwhelmed with life. Seek support. Read more self improvement articles. They might help you figure about some things that are puzzling you. 6. Remember gratitude. Count your blessings. What is working right in you life? Make a list. Set aside a bit of time everyday to acknowledge what or who you are grateful for. The more you practice gratitude, the more you attract into your life things to be grateful for. 7. Court your passion. You still have your passions though it has been a while since you may have felt it flow. When are you the most alive and joyful in your life? Who do you most admire and what do they inspire in you? 8. Take action. All the inspiration in the world is not enough to make you move your life to the next level. It takes inspired action to do that. 9. Keep breathing and relax. You probably forget to take deep full breaths. Learn to relax. 10. Have fun. Call a friend, take a bubble bath, take yourself to an art museum or schedule a whole day out in nature. Put on some great music, read your favorite book, or watch a movie. And you thought this was just one of those self improvement articles. Please note: (I may be compensated at no additional cost to the customer for my referral links or affiliate programs.) I have a true passion for sharing work-at-home opportunities and ideas. In my blog post today, I will start from the very beginning of my work from home journey and explain why I sincerely enjoy using Swagbucks basically everyday to earn money. *Referral link: https://www.swagbucks.com/refer/DeborahAnnS I have tried so many other work-at-home options, such as the following: freelance writing, affiliate marketing, ads, blogging, writing online junior college courses (credit and non-credit), online professor, eBay top power seller, professional organizer, medical transcription and more! I am happiest with using Swagbucks everyday to earn money in the comfort of my own home using small chunks of my time throughout my busy day. So many people may have a true desire to work-at-home. It was a very popular option in the past, but now since moms and dads may be spending so much time at home, a large majority of the population is researching a variety of work from home job or home business ideas. There is currently a great deal of competition with many unemployed parents seeking remote or freelance positions. I will explain my own personal experience over the years. In the past, I was constantly searching for the ideal work-at-home job opportunity. I wanted to create my own flexible work schedule using the specific hours during the day or evening that were the very best for me. My professional career was actually in the health care field. I earned my registered nursing diploma many years ago with a hospital school of nursing accredited program. In addition to my RN diploma, I also earned several college credits over the years, but not enough for an Associate’s college degree or a Bachelor’s degree. I worked as a registered nurse in the hospital environment for many years in the past. I was a head nurse in charge of a medical unit for quite awhile and also a supervisor of a surgical unit. I even became an assistant director of nursing of a nursing home facility for awhile. After I started my family, I wanted to begin to look for work from home opportunities. I truly did so much research about all aspects of remote work. I first focused on researching medical-related careers that would allow me to work from my home. I read a lot about medical coding and medical transcription, along with transcription editing. I decided to take a reputable online course in medical transcription. I successfully completed a distance education course and earned my diploma in medical transcription. Also, I have a creative passion for writing. In the past, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to write non-credit courses for a program that offered online educational classes. I was able to teach these courses to the online students that enrolled into the program. I wrote a medical transcription course and a psychology course. Following this rewarding experience, I was offered a professional opportunity to work on writing projects for junior college credit courses. One of my favorite work-at-home jobs was being an online instructor for these medical assisting courses, which I truly enjoyed. I also became a medical item writer. I wrote appropriate test questions for a medical-related exam. I was an independent contractor for this work-at-home project. Later, I became a successful eBay seller. I really had fun learning how to do photography for the items that I sold on eBay. I purchased a tabletop photo studio with wonderful lighting features, which helped me to produce great photos. To my surprise and delight, I actually became a power seller and also a top seller. I was discovering a problem with how I had to incorporate my work into my family’s schedule. When I was doing my online teaching, I ended up spending way too much time grading students’ work and prepping my coursework after my family was sleeping, when it was quiet. I would work too many hours when I should have been getting my rest during the night. I lost a lot of sleep! Actually, I also did most of my photography prep when I was an active eBay seller while everybody was sleeping too! I always wanted to accomplish my part-time work-at-home jobs/gigs during the day, however; I just had too much family responsibility to routinely tend to every single day (even weekends). I also had aging parents that needed my help, especially with cooking many extra meals. As time went by, I still had the ongoing desire and motivation to try to make money with a side hustle from home. I tried actual freelance writing. I would routinely schedule an hour for the research time to prepare for my article writing. The next step was to write a rough draft and carefully proofread the draft of my article. Then, I would type the article onto my computer and edit the article. Finally, I would submit my article for professional review. I spent too much time without adequate monetary results with my freelance writing experience. Then, I decided that I wanted the chance to write on my own about the topics that I really enjoyed, such as the following: medical transcription, medical coding, medical assisting, time management, home organization, meal planning, psychology, pets and work-at-home job ideas. So, I created a separate blog for each of those topics! I guess I sure had lots of mental ambition and determination that year... While working with each blog, I actively participated in affiliate marketing with links and banners. I also had the experience of ads. I had a large variety of topics that I was working with, so it was really fun and interesting. I made a small amount of money with affiliate marketing. I really did not have enough traffic to my blogs. It was a minimal monetary return for all the hours I spent creating and updating my blogs. I downsized my number of blogs. Currently, I maintain one blog all about organizing the home and your life and one website about work at home job ideas. You may want to check out my organizing blog: Organize Your House: https://organizeyourhouse.blogspot.com. I also recently published a few books. I thoroughly enjoyed my organizing blog. So, I had another brainstorm. I thought, why not take an online professional organizer course to become an actual professional organizer and possibly a work from home virtual professional organizer! I found a nice course and got my certification. Still my main goal or priority for an ongoing work-at-home gig was for me to find an opportunity that really allowed me to have the option to choose the specific hours of the day that worked best for my daily schedule (which needed to be flexible). In the past, my other work-at-home gigs involved too many hours. I could not just split the work up into small pieces throughout my day. I had to spend big chunks of my day at a time to complete the work. I am finally starting to get to one of the top priorities as to why I love using Swagbucks. I still continue to have a great deal of everyday ongoing routine family responsibilities to tend to... and I am older now and I cherish the proper amount of sleep every night. I love the fact that I can use Swagbucks periodically throughout my day when I find the very best time for me. I can do things with small chunks of time. For example, when I wake up in the am and turn on my iPad, I can begin by answering their daily poll question and maybe a few survey profile questions. When you become a Swagbucks member, you earn points that can be redeemed for gift cards or cash through PayPal. There are many ways to earn points: watch videos, shop online, complete surveys, search the web, discover offers, play games... One of my favorite benefits is that you can earn ongoing passive income from your referrals that remain active! That certainly is a wonderful and motivational feature! Moms, remember you can earn from the comfort of your own home whenever you want! This may be an ideal opportunity for seniors too. Membership is free. Some days I only have 15 to 30 minutes of free time. Other days I may have an hour or two dedicated to work. You can choose to work as little or as much as you want. I especially enjoy the fact that I can work in the evening or early in the morning. You may be looking for a side-gig to add supplemental income for your family. Side-gigs can also be helpful to earn some money for holiday gift giving for the future or to save up for a special gift for yourself! A little self-care can go a long way. I personally like to use my SB points for gift cards that are my favorite! You can use them for cash through PayPal if you choose. Lately, I have been fortunate to redeem a very nice gift card just about every week! I especially love the fact that they also have a mobile app, which I use often. Personally, I continue to routinely answer the daily poll questions, shop online, search the web, discover content, answer surveys, search the web and get referrals! It truly is a whole lot of fun and I have received very nice rewards consistently for my work. I even have a few referrals with the program. I have been faithfully using Swagbucks daily for quite awhile now and I am sincerely enjoying the whole experience. I am truly so happy that I found Swagbucks! I am very grateful for what they have to offer. It was exactly what I was searching for all along! When you work from home, it is so helpful if you have the option to choose the time of day that works best for your daily schedule. That has always been a priority for me. If you are seeking a part-time or full-time work-at-home job or freelance opportunities, then you can search some of the online home-based jobs with reputable resources. There are so many advantages of working from home. When you are happy with what you are doing, it doesn't even seem like work! That is why I love using Swagbucks! Earn Money at Home! Watch videos, search the web, answer surveys, shop online & earn points to redeem for gift cards or cash back from PayPal. Earn ongoing passive income from referrals! Get the mobile app & earn on the go! *Referral link https://www.swagbucks.com/refer/DeborahAnnS Please note: (I may be compensated at no additional cost to the customer for my referral links or affiliate programs.) I'm going to identify some of the methods that may possibly assist you in building resilience and coping with stress. Help for Coping with Stress:
Self-esteem is a crucial factor in conquering stress. Determining that you are capable of meeting and conquering life's stressors is a good start in building self-esteem. Also, a crucial part of self-esteem is believing your worthy of love and happiness. Why Low Self-Esteem May Increase Stress Levels In Your Life: 1. You're constantly gauging yourself negatively. 2. You're constantly concerned about what others think of you and go to unreasonable lengths to attain their acceptance and approval. Confidence Verses Self-Esteem: They Are Different! Self-esteem is different from self-confidence in numerous ways. You may be extremely successful in your chosen career and yet you still find yourself feeling not adequate. You need to be capable of loving yourself to experience happiness. Several successful individuals may be miserable at heart and have low self-esteem. Low self-esteem makes it easier for other people to manipulate you, and it also can make you unsure of your own feelings and opinions. What You Can Do To Improve Your Self Esteem? It must be obvious to you why it's important to work on your self-esteem. Without high self-esteem, you may be an unhappy individual even if you've been able to achieve material success. Low self-esteem can makes it extremely tough for you to succeed in your endeavors: being your own worst enemy, you may be perpetually placing obstacles in your own path. Following are some of the things you could do to improve your self-esteem: 1. Stop criticizing yourself. Learn not to condemn yourself for the small slip-ups that we all are prone to make in our lives. You have to accept mistakes as a necessary part of life. 2. Praise yourself when you do something great. Be overgenerous in your praise, but it's crucial to be honest. 3. Whenever you undertake some activity, visualize yourself as being successful in it. It's normal to experience stress occasionally. The reality is life is full of stress. As a matter of fact, some stress is healthy. It motivates us to accomplish the most daunting tasks. Can stress be a positive tool? The answer is a definitive yes. Imagine you have a deadline to meet; while your tension levels become elevated, you find the strength inside you to complete the assignment on time. Stress helps you to become more centered, and in some cases increases your strength when you’re in a pressured position. Maybe you have discovered you are able to think more clearly when trying to meet that deadline. Yes, stress can stimulate the brain and sharpen one’s performance. It Helps To Keep Stress Levels Down While it's inevitable that you'll experience stress in all walks of life, it's significant to learn stress management and relaxation methods to control stress and channelize it to your own advantage, instead of getting bogged down by it. |
